Lacey Evans is the heart and creative force behind Souled Out Meals. Raised in a family of cooks, her culinary foundation was laid by her grandmothers. By five years old, she was already helping prepare pancakes and coffee each morning with her late great-grandmother. As she got older, she spent countless hours alongside her grandmother learning cherished family recipes and developing an instinct for bold, balanced flavors.
While attending North Carolina A&T, Lacey stayed connected to home through food. She was calling her grandmother weekly to learn how to recreate the meals she grew up on. What began as cooking for herself quickly expanded to feeding friends, gatherings, and celebrations. Through those experiences, she learned that great food isn’t just about ingredients; it’s about intention, love, and presentation.
In June 2025, Lacey stepped out on faith and officially launched Souled Out Meals. Known for her bold flavor profiles and her ability to create healthier versions of Southern staples without sacrificing their soul, she brings warmth and authenticity to every dish. From her signature mac and cheese to thoughtfully prepared weekly meal prep, each plate is crafted to feel like home.
